Researchers studied 119 adults along with three different species of mosquitoes and discovered something surprising. Not every mosquito has the same taste in humans.

Apparently, mosquitoes are food critics.

One species might think you're a five-star buffet, while another flies right past you looking for someone with a different... aroma.

The big factor is your skin bacteria and the natural chemicals your body gives off. Different mosquito species are attracted to different combinations, which explains why your friend can be sitting right next to you without a single bite while you're out there donating a pint of blood.

Researchers hope the discovery could eventually lead to mosquito repellents that are customized instead of the current "spray everything and hope for the best" approach.

Honestly, that's great news.

Because the mosquitoes in Michigan don't seem to care what brand of bug spray you're wearing. They land on your arm like they're reading the ingredients, shrug, and keep eating.
